Project "Ovasteel" is a playful exploration of connection and balance, both in form and function. It presents a multitude of possibilities and connections within a simple, clean line. This modular wall cabinet installation turns the user into the designer, allowing them to customize the design. In this way, the observer has direct interaction with the object, making it a commentary on an overly passive museum attitude.
Life can be breathed into it continuously, and new combinations can be created, with the recurring element being their mutual support. An individual form cannot stand alone and always requires at least another form.
The ovals resemble eggs; they are steel eggs, "ovasteel." Eggs symbolize the origin of new life, a new beginning.

When life as an art object inside is over, it gets a fresh start outside. In this way it's message lives on.
Endless combinations, you're the designer
